I successfully re-fared this morning! (We are booked with a refundable deposit.) This is the first time with an air credit. Is that noted anywhere on the booking summary other than the promo write up section? I see the OBC, and I see complementary grats under the cabin notes section. We have existing EZ Air reservations.

I figured out my own question from earlier!

Did you mean answer?  What did you find out?  I just looked at the guidelines and it mentions $200 credit off airfare booked during the promotion.  Sounds like previously booked won't get it.  Is that correct?

Confused here. Don’t want to bother my PVP unless it looks like I can refare.  Air discount shows as having to be used during the promotion.  Well, my cruise under this promotion is October 2020! There’s no way I can get EZ air possibilities before mid to late November — long after the promotion is over.  (Even 3FF would be over) So why is it even offered for my cruise?

Call Princess and ask, they may show that $200 air credit in your account, if it is possible when booking now. The Princess website shows the cruises and dates with this sale banner now.

I just got off the phone with my PVP and he stated that the promotion can be booked now for cruises where airfare is not yet available and the $200 credit will be applied when the airfare is booked.

In my case however the cost went up $115/person and as we are going 2 weeks early we're not sure if we will use EzAir therefore to save $85/person (assuming we use EZAir) it wasn't worth it.  We already have the other 3FF perks.

Thanks so much for the info. Just ran the numbers and staying out with Landmark Sale fare. Price went up! So, again, the bottom line comes out to be exactly the same price. Plus our booking deposit is refundable, so we’re staying put. But thanks for your help!

Also confused. I booked a cruise last week under the 3 for free for next September. My TA rebooked it under this sale for a dollar less. Then I read the fine print that says air has to be booked during the sale. Why offer the sale if air can't be booked?

I booked a new cruise today!  And the prices dropped from last week.  Airfare will be a credit until flights schedules come available in November.  And was a refundable deposit option.  Didn’t even mention having it be nonrefundable.

Our TA just rebooked our cruise. We had a lot of OBC with the Landmark promotion. With the 3 for Free, the base price went down (refundable price was slightly more than online price), the paid gratuities and the OBC, we came out about $500 ahead.

The 72 hour airfare promotion was a really good saving.  We are happy cruisers to be.

Update to my question a few days ago: I called my PVP and asked since we had just put down a non refundable deposit on our cruise for September 2020. He was able to add the airfare credit to our booking with no penalty, and we didn’t lose anything else. I’m very happy I called, he was super helpful and only took less than 5 mins to get it changed. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Hi all!

My family is booked on the Enchanted Princess in Sept 2020 under the 3 for Free promotion.  When we called, our TA told us this air fare promotion is for new bookings only.  This brings up a couple questions:  Our cabin type is completely sold out on our cruise, so if we re-book are we at risk of losing that cabin?  If we re-book, do we lose our initial deposit and need to pay another for the new booking (assuming non-refundable deposit)?

This restriction is rather confusing to us since I see some here mention only having to re-fare instead of completely re-booking.  We were told by Princess (through our TA) that 3 for Free wasn't even available for another of our bookings because all cabins in that category were already booked. So, if we re-booked now we would lose 3 for Free and possibly risk losing the cabin just for some air credit - definitely not worth it.  If this air credit promotion is indeed for new bookings only (requiring a re-book), doesn't that discourage people from booking early unless their preferred cabin type is likely to sell out prior to the start of the promotion?

Thanks all!

I re-fared today, and I also had previously booked air. I told them if I could keep my current air reservations - especially since I had just checked online and the cost for my flights had gone up. In order to apply the credit, they cancelled and rebooked my air reservations - same flights but different airline booking number. However, they rebooked the air for a lower price - my actual air savings was more than $200 per person.

I believe you will have to either cancel and rebook online or call Princess. I recommend you go through the process online to change your flights and select the same flights. Nothing will change until you click Book after it gives you the new cost compared to the old cost. if the new cost is $200 per person (or more) less than the old cost, then the promotion is applied - click Book and you're finished. If the new cost is not $200 less per person, then don't click Book - call Princess (or your travel agent) instead.

I re-fared today from Sip & Sail on a 16-day trans-Atlantic in July 2020 for a significant savings. I saved from a loser fare and corresponding lower Princess Vacation Protection cost, the air savings, the pre-paid gratuities, and the additional OBC. I lost our two Premier Beverage Packages, and my travel agent reduced the amount of their OBC because of the lower fare. The total was a net savings of $237.48 (total for two people) if I purchase two Premier Beverage Packages to replace the ones I lost. Since DW doesn't drink very much, we will not be buying a PBP for her, so that makes a total savings of $1,370.12 - less the cost of a couple of bottles of wine for her for the entire cruise.

I did book with a nonrefundable deposit. They gave me an option of a refundable deposit with the same perks for $130 per person more. Since my deposit was only $100 per person (FCD), I decided not to bother - if I had put down a real deposit, I probably would have paid the extra.

I just changed my flights this morning and it worked. I changed them again this evening so all in all about $900 in cost avoidance from today!

OTOH we just heard back from our TA and the flights to LHR we just booked for our Jul 2020 cruise last week were no longer available for the time slots we had. However, we could get different time slots but the price for economy plus jumped from $1,100 to over $2,800 pp, so we decided to pass on the promotion. If the airfare would have stayed the same, it would have been a $1,000 net gain. But, we'll now wait until this 3 day sale is over, and see if it still makes sense to refare.

I changed my booking to the three for free with $200 EZAir credit yesterday.  We previously had the sip and sail promotion but since my wife doesn't drink I was using that as a place holder until something better came up.  I called my Big Box TA and they checked it out and was able to change over without a problem.  I was also able to keep my refundable deposit at the same price as the non refundable. Since no flights were listed for my 10/25/2020 cruise I was told by both my TA and Princess (I double checked because I'm a little compulsive) and was told I'd get the credit when I booked the flights.  All in all a very good experience.

I booked directly with Princess and refared my Aug Enchanted cruise yesterday. We have received air credit, all promos and I was able to keep same cabin. I dont normally use TAs (unless Costco has outstanding deal), so not sure how to approach this. May be call Princess yourself?

Yes I agree! I don't think your TA knows what she is talking about. I would call Princess yourself and ask. If it is possible to refare with this promo (and it is) you can then tell your TA that Princess says yes and to have the TA get it done. I have heard of many TA's who don't know squat and this sounds like one of them. There is nothing in the promo's terms that says for new bookings only.

Just rechecked our EZAir booking today and found the reason why the flights were no longer available. There were no more Delta Comfort seats left. When we rechecked the economy class seats we were able to get round trip tickets with the EZAir promotion for $536 for both of us! At those savings I can live with 2 less inches in economy. Yes!!! Thank you Princess!!

Anyone booked on a Spring through Fall 2020 Europe cruise? You could pick up an airfare credit (along with the current 3 for Free promo) during this three day promo coming up.  Of course it's nonrefundable deposit, so if interested could ask what the fare would be for refundable deposit.

It is NOT a non-refundable deposit! I re-fared my TA for next year, and 3 different Princess reps , as well as my travel agent, confirmed it! Where do you get that? The gratuities are non-refundable, not the deposit.
