JF - retired RRT Posted September 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) No idea what wine costs...they may not even have your preferred brand. Easy to get the wine you want, bring it with you. Each adult passenger can carry on ONE bottle of wine (750ml ?) each. That's 2 bottles, if you're a couple. You can also bring as many as you want past those 2 at $15 corkage each. PS: if you take your "free" bottle to the dining room, you'll be charged the corkage, so carry it in a glass. Bringing lots of your own wine can be problematic if you're flying, but there are workarounds, especially if your leaving from FLL. All this should be "carry on". If packed in a suitcase, the suitcase will be held for inspection and you'll be summoned to come and pick it up in what CC members call the "naughty room". Most alcoholic drinks (likely including your G&T) are 8-10 dollars plus 18% gratuity. You can also carry on or send with luggage as much water or soda as you want. skynight Posted September 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2019 (edited) I can't tell you if Princess will even have your specific wine. The lowest priced wines start at around US$33 which includes the 18% beverage gratuity. If this is a premium wine it will certainly be more expensive. Each adult is allowed to carry on 1 x 750ml bottle of wine at no charge. These bottles are for use in your cabin. If you bring them to a DR or other public area you are subject to a US$15/bottle corkage fee. Additional bottles can be carried on and are subject to the US$15 corkage fee. These bottles are marked and can be used anywhere on the ship. Some passengers pour their cabin wine in a glass and carry it to the DR. Gin & Tonic would be around US$10.50 to US$11.00 which includes the 18% gratuity. As a note all beverage on board purchases, alcoholic and non alcoholic, are charged at the menu price plus the 18% gratuity. jimlouisesophie Posted September 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2019 Off topic, a bit, but would like some advice. We are staying for a few nights in San Francisco before the cruise and plan on taking several bottles that will be purchased in the city and taking them on board. Our suitcases will be pretty well full, so what is the best way of transporting onto the ship and into our cabin. We will, of course, take a cab from the hotel to the pier, but if we purchase, say 12 bottles, would it not be feasible to carry this aboard, along with our large suitcase and a carry on suitcase? You would drop your large suitcases with the porters. That would leave you with just your carry ons to go through security. With the proper bags you could also carry on the wine. There are carriers sold for this purpose, but wrapped bottles in a strong carry bags would probably work for such a short distance. Whatever you bring on board has to go through the scanner. I would not place wine in the large suitcases which you give to the porters. Assuming it does not break you would be called to a room to open the suitcase for examination. It's better to carry it on. Steelers36 Posted September 16, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2019 There is no reason you cannot give a carry-on to the porters. It would lessen the amount to deal with in the terminal. You would perhaps have one carry-on plus the wine in lieu of the other.

They have two on the list. One is $35 (Dashwood) and the other is $51 (Cloudy Bay if you know it). There are other Sauvignon Blancs but those are your two choices from Marlborough. Disclaimer - Wine selections may change by then, but the current list was a major overhaul (for the better).
