MEALS IN COMPLIMENTARY RESTAURANTS ON EDGE

Just wondering how the food was in the complimentary restaurants versus Main dining room or BLU.

not sure which "complimentary" restaurants you are referring to .... the buffet? Now there are 4 different MDR's on The Edge - each with a different name / theme.

We did the transatlantic on  Edge in April.   We had an excellent experience in the four complimentary MDRs on Edge.   My favorite though was Cyprus.   Very prompt service and can't think of a bad meal.    Is you are on select dining, do make your reservations in advance.    We did and never had a wait, although others without reservations were sometimes quoted up to a 40 minute delay and given a "beeper".

The MDR is not complimentary, just that there is no surcharge. The MDR is included in your cruise fare.

Can you make reservations via Cruise Planner? Or do we have to wait until we board?

Assuming you have Select Dining you can make reservations in the Cruise Planner go to Specialty Dining and scroll to the end and you will find the  MDRs.

I personally preferred the Main Dining Rooms to Blu.  Blu is kind of "foo-foo", "healthier" alternatives.  My waiter in Blu told me to review the menus from the Main Dining Rooms on my phone and to order from their menus.

 

Before we upgraded to Aqua, I had made all of my Select Dining MDR dinner reservations through the Personalizer.  But I cancelled those when we switched to Blu.
