It is garbage.  Find some orange juice to mix it with.

Yeah.  I've heard some say it's not bad.  However I think it definitely need a mixer like orange juice or cranberry juice.

If it hasn't changed, it is Duc De Valmer Brut.   It makes great mimosas.  Don't think I'd drink it straight though.   Locally, it sells for $5.99 a bottle.

Few people have claimed anything positive.    I think NCL would do FAR better getting rid of it.  😀.   I always leave it.  

 

All that’s involved-  ordering,  shipping,  loading,  storing,  lists generated,   Pick up/delivery.   And the cost of the product.     !!!!!

 

use the time and money elsewhere.

We've shared ours with people who haven't had the beverage package.  But, on our last two cruises, we just left it.

I've done that when cruising solo; once you open it you can't reseal it even if you actually tolerated it. You meet a nice couple, they take back to their balcony and make the best of it.  Opening up a bottle of that wine in the room is better than none by a long shot.

 

Though its main asset may be that it gives us something to harmlessly gripe about.

Get glasses from your steward.  Get a glass of apple juice at breakfast, cool in the fridge all day.  Apple juice and sparkling 50.50 for drink at dinner.

I wondered how many times the bottles are "recycled" when they are left behind!  I looked at my bottle and thought "How many times were you left behind?"  Then I opened it and it exploded (warm) all over everything...and I wished I had left it too!

The honeymooners on their first cruise were happy to receive it when I handed the bottle over the balcony rail. I hope they felt the same way later!

I agree. I think they should scrap the current program and instead give Platinum and above a nice bottle of wine in their room instead.

We tried mixing it with orange juice.... the OJ was better on its own.

we usually take it to M&G and share it, mixed with fruit juice. It is a fun way to use the bottle ON its own it isn't as bad as some say, but as expected it isn't first rate either.

We opened it warm to add it to glasses with OJ and ice.  How do you get it cold?

My just turned drinking age son thought it was great, though I agree with the above posters - its much better cold and with OJ!
