MrCruzdoggie Posted September 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2019 We just got the notice that Freeport will be replaced with a Sea Day. This is no surprise but I wonder if we'll get a credit for port fees.
Rare ReneeFLL Posted September 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) I would think so since they won't be paying any to Freeport. It would be nice if they gave people the option to donate the fees for the ones that would want to. Every little bit adds up. Let us know what they do. When is your sailing? GEORGIEGIRL Posted September 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2019 We are on that sailing as well. RCCL has been giving the "Donation" option on other ships/sailings. I think I read somewhere that they might even be matching the donations.
BensonFan711 Posted September 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2019 You'll get a refund for the port fees in the form of OBC. If you don't spend it on the cruise itself, it will be refunded to the card you set up your onboards spending account with.
Rare brillohead Posted September 18, 2019 #7 Share Posted September 18, 2019 This is already being discussed on the Roll Call thread... not sure the reason for a separate thread?

awestover89 Posted September 18, 2019 #9 Share Posted September 18, 2019 We were debating doing the Mariner to Freeport or the Navigator to Nassau, ended up deciding the Navigator, leave for Miami tomorrow. It's really sad how the media portrayed things; we've had four family members ask why we are still going to the Bahamas when it was completely destroyed and we've had to explain that while a few individual cities and islands were hit hard, the country as a whole has persevered and both can handle tourists and can use the income that gets brought in. People don't know how to look at a map. I read a post where someone asked why no one was talking about the damage from Dorian to Jamaica. 🙄 Edited September 18, 2019 by CruisinCrow
