We've have always been tendered at The Old Fisherman's Wharf but recently I've read this year you are tendered to the Coast Guard pier.  Has anyone been there recently (in the past couple of months)?  Where did the tender boats take you?

We'll be tendering there next Thursday......I'm curious as well because in October 2017 we got off at where you said.  How far away is the coast guard pier....?  Does it make that much difference.....?  In walking I mean.......

Qcruise:  They are about .7 miles apart, so just a short walk.  Coast Guard pier is that much closer to The Cannery.

.7 miles is a short walk if you are not disabled!  Which is better the Cannery or Old Fisherman's Wharf?  We will be there in October and just planned on walking around the pier so I am curious as to where we will be tendered to.

I think both sites have their charm.  We've always been to the Old Fisherman's Wharf, so thought if we went to the Coast Guard pier it would be a different view/area.  I didn't mean to walk between the two -- so didn't mean .7 miles was a short walk but rather a short distance between the two.

Update.....our tenders went to Fisherman's wharf as usual.  On the plus side.....we did walk out to the Coast Guard pier and found a wonderful little food place that had scotch eggs on the menu......we turned our friends on to them.....they were great there and we also got them in Victoria at the Irish Times pub/restaurant......we get one whenever we see on a menu.....yummy.
