Your best bet for a "sampler" would be the Pride of America.  Think of it as a floating hotel.  As you may know, you'll start and finish in Oahu and overnight at Maui, visit Hilo and Kona on the Big Island, overnight at Kauai and do a sail-by of the Napali coast in seven days.

We did this a 4 years ago with a 3 day pre cruise land tour package it is a older ship but overall it was fabulous.

Stopped at Kona Haven for iced coffee and to eat the rambutan we bought at the market

Then we stopped in Humpy's alehouse to watch most of the Seahawks game (they won) and enjoyed some clams

And as I posted earlier we made a stop at Fish Hopper for lunch before heading back to the ship to be greeted by luggage tags in the stateroom. 😥

Those clams look great!  Different shell markings than PNW steamers. :classic_biggrin: We will have to go there next time we visit the islands. Thanks for the recommendation. Awesome Bloody Mary! :classic_biggrin:

Lacking wifi so will post when i can.

What a turnaround. In one day leaving the hustle and bustle of thousands of cruise passengers to the quiet Molokai.

We arrived at Molokai airport after changing planes at Honolulu airport as the first plane broke. We'r grabbed our car in the parking lot (the key was under the mat). After getting settled in our room in the hotel we went shopping fir supplies then went to Paddlers for dinner. Great food, drinks and music.

Yesterday for lunch we went Kualapuu Cookhouse, good food. Katsu chicken for me and teriyaki beef for Marie.
On the front of the menu it said "if you are in hurry you are on the wrong island ". Actually it only took about a half hour to get the food. Like some of the places here, cash only.

It really does look like heaven there. Thank you [emoji4] for the photos
It does look like heaven but every time we leave the hotel we pass a sign on someone's front yard that says

Visit....
Spend
Go home.

After lunch we headed up to Kalaupapa Lookout.
The Kalaupapa Overlook provides a scenic overview of the Kalaupapa Peninsula from the edge of a 1600ft cliff. It's easy to get the lay of the land from up here and you'll get a good feel for just how far you'll travel if you descend the nearly 1700ft on the trail.

The Kalaupapa peninsula was home to a leper colony for over 100 years. The book i just finished reading (Molokai) is historical fiction about that colony so i wanted to see the peninsula.
