Inventory Control Department

Recommended Posts

I called Royal about a price change on a fresh booking and was told by the agent that he could not access my reservation due to it being reviewed by the Inventory Control Department. Now that voyage is gone off the Royal website. Is it sold out ?

Could be any number of things including a charter.  When is the cruise?

My guess would be charters, new itinerary or relocation.

sailings before and after the 19th are normal.  Perhaps a short drydock

Yep, prime time for a short charter.

Had a chat with a social media person. This was their reply about a charter :  Not for this sailing at this time.

May or may not be true.  I've heard that so many times from Royal's customer service people and then a few weeks later a charter is announced.

They could be telling the truth.  No charter at this time, as it has not been finalized.

It does not mean that there are not NEGOTIATIONS for a charter for that ship and date.

The "inventory control" is a common statement when a ship has been chartered.  Google the ship and date and see if anything pops up.

Nothing popping up and it's back on the Royal website.

Maybe the negotiations fell through.

I have the Allure lined up as a backup if a charter happens.

Empress is doing a very short dry dock to do something related to their stabilizers in 2019. I just heard that this week when I was on the Empress. I don’t recall when it’s going to be.
