Room assignment

When did you book the cruise?

A guarantee assignment can come at any time. Check your planner. Cabin assignments can actually be posted from hours from booking to showing up at the port and handing your luggage to the porter who will have blank tags and a cabin roster.

If you are lucky and your cabin assignment is soon and you are not content with the cabin you can change to an available cabin in the same class or upgrade for an additional cost.

Enjoy the Infinity.

We booked a guarantee Aqua cabin for Oct 4 on the Equinox and got our room assignment last week.   It just showed up in our planner. This was our first time booking a guarantee and we booked the cruise on Aug 5.  Before we were assigned a room we got a move up offer which we decided not to do and fortunately we are happy with what we got.  Have a great cruise!

We booked about 2 months ago. Our cruise is sailing mid mid December. We are excited just curious when it would be assigned.

It could be any time, keep checking your booking on-line as that is where you will see it.  If you don’t like the location you can move to any open cabin the the same category.

The one time we booked guarantee it was assigned within minutes.  We actually were already booked in oceanview but moved up to a veranda guarantee for only $20 more.

We were cruising with two other couples who did the same and even got three side by side. We all had our bookings with the same TA so I'm sure he really went to bat for us.

I think it may be dependent on the type of cabin and the availability of those cabins.   We booked an Aqua Guarantee about 6 months ago.  We only book 3 weeks prior to the cruise and at the time there were no cabins showing available.   We were not notified of our cabin until 5 days prior to the cruise.    I believe in our case they were waiting for some of those in Aqua to bid on an upgrade and then assigned their cabins.

We booked an inside GTY on August 7 for the September 8 sailing on the Summit.  We received our cabin assignment on September 5 (by checking on the cruise check-in page). We liked our cabin on deck 2.  Our friends booked a few days after us and found out their cabin the same day that we did.  Their cabin was on deck 7, but their cabin was a “sideways” cabin and it didn’t have the large chair that we had - no room for it.
