I wonder what would happen in Vegas if someone organized a slot pull and put their own card in a machine?

Watch any slot channel on YouTube.  Brian Christopher, The big Jackpot, Palm Springs spinners, Vegas Rover, Dianaevoni, they are run every week in Vegas at multiple casinos with the casinos knowledge. And yes they use their own players cards. They have slot channels dedicated to it and the casino enjoys the revenue & free publicity.

Atlantic city allows them also. I have attended a few by BC Slots & the Big Jackpot.

The Casino Royale terms and conditions specify that an individual cannot earn points on anyone else’s play. All the slot pulls I’ve been involved with state that no cards can be inserted in the machine.

I'm sure the casino host will throw that seapass card holder into the brig.

The organizers do all the work and yes they get the points for doing it. I have to keep a list of people, cabin numbers, print out tickets, collect the cash, call people up, break up the cash in even bundles & chase people down for the next 2-3 days at their cabin so I could pay them....so yes, I have earned whatever points I get. I have organized them many times and if I had someone complain about it on the roll call I would just tell them not to play....easy peasy. It’s not sponsored by the cruise line so I can have anyone play/or not play I want.

Sounds like you had a really fun bunch of people on that roll call 🙄

I agree you earned it.  At least you try to get the money distributed back to the players.  I had one slot pull that I had to leave for another event before it was done.  When I asked for my share, was told that since I wasn't present when the pot was split, the organizer kept my portion.

Yes on my last sailing I was playing telephone tag with 2 entrants but I finally caught them in their cabin 2 or 3 days later. I called them around 8am as they seemed to be out of the room early the day before. That is the #1 reason why I collect cabin numbers when people sign up.

That was 100% wrong on the organizers part. It was not their money to keep.

I've run over 20 Slot Pulls. We usually have 20-30 people. We play the dollar machine and the most we ever won was $10 each and the most lost was $7. It is not for the money but the FUN we have cheering and booing our fellow players. The casino host usually supplies prizes.

It takes $5 to earn 1 point so for example 20 people x $21 = $420 / $5 per point = 84 points. It takes 400 points just to get $100 off a future cruise. Obviously the more people the more points.

I'm thinking the numbers are more like $2.50 played on a slot = 1 point

Others on here say they have up to 80 people. Using my point bases that's $1680 played and 672 points at $2.50 played per 1 pt.

That would be 1/3 of the way to a drink card in an hour

Plus, all those points go to their overall play which is recorded for future casino comps. Free cabins, comp bottle of wine at dinner, free drinks while playing, etc.

This is from another thread.

Club Royale revealed: How points are calculated

you are supposed to earn 1 point for every $5 spent on slots. When it comes to craps, you are supposed to get 1 point for every 10 minutes you are gambling for each $5 wagered as your average bet.

How minimal?

Seriously??..it truly is minimal.....the casino royal comp plan is a joke.... unless you dump over 5k during 7 day cruise.   These slot pulls folks put together don't make a dent. 20 people X 20.00 each= $400.00 gets you nothing....

I dont know about that.  Laura qualifies Prime by earning between 100 and 300 pts per cruise.

$400 is 80 points. Halfway there.

So what kind of extravagant gifts does prime earn you? Free drink card lol??? 100.00 off your next cruise....pfft...joke... I am not a Carnival loyalist by any stretch.... but their casino perks program is way better. I think Royal rips you off half the time.... I spent over 3000.00 and received a 200.00 off next cruise cert and had to ASK for it...lol.....

Free drinks, free cruise once a year.

On top of that, 4 free Mariner, 1 free Empress, 1 free Freedom cruise this summer.

Can't say we've ever dropped 3 grand on a cruise.

You sound like my sister....spends 500.00 and claims to get a free inside cabin offer multiple times a year. I am thinking you must have hit a jackpot at some point and they want you back. Anyways...I honestly do not think a one time per cruise organized slot pull is really going to make a difference. I also agree with everything casinocompchick has said. Now, in Vegas (see youtube) where there are professionals who organize slot pulls for a living...that is a different story.

Just a casual gambler, no big deal. We don't spend our lives in the casino. It's just fun, and if Royal gives something back, cool.

John, Your experience is almost identical to ours. Multiple cruises with smallish certificates that add up. We couldn’t do all the free cruises due to work situation.
