Fabulous2B50 Posted January 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2006 Has anyone used this tour company in Rome? The website is eternaltourist.com. The owner is an American who is an official licensed guide and only does personal or very small group tours.
mountainhouse Posted January 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2006 If you're unsure, an alternative would be Through Eternity or Context Rome. Both of these sound similar to eternaltourist.com, and come highly recommended in Rick Steves Italy 2006 book.
jssabs Posted January 31, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2006 I toured the Vatican with Mayta several years ago and she was excellent. She was knowledgable, got us through the crowds and was very reliable.
Fabulous2B50 Posted January 31, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Thanks for the evaluation of Mayta. She sent me a delightful email. I have already booked Context Rome for 3 tours before I discovered her website. I am looking for someone to take us on a tour out to Tivoli to tour the Villa d'Este and Hadrians Villa in early June. Context Rome only has this as a private tour and they were just way too expensive, even though a friend of mine says their tours are fantastic(that is why I have booked them for 3 tours in Rome itself- ancient Rome, the Vatican and the Villa Borghese tours) Mayta was much more reasonable for this particular trip and she is an official licensed guide even though she is an American.
