Is 10:50 am too early to fly out of San Juan?

Going on Freedom of the Seas out of San Juan in April.  Returns on a Sunday.  Southwest doesn't have a mid day flight.  It's 10:50am or wait till 3pm and get home at midnight.   Can we make it on time if we walk our bags off during the self carry and we have TSA precheck?  Last time we flew out of SJ we had a flight about noon and had to wait at the airline desk for over an hour as we were so early with the same process.  Thanks.

Assuming nothing unusual like a late arrival of the ship or delayed clearance for disembarkation you can certainly make that earlier flight. Do the self assist walk off and hop in a taxi.

We managed to make a 9:45am flight ...first off the Freedom at 7:00am with self assist. This certainly wasn't my choice of flight times but after many changes with AA it's what we ended up with. Also make sure you do the agriculture check before checking in at your carrier.

No problem as long as the ship has no issues getting in to port and clearing security.   I usually shoot for a flight around 10:30am  I always do self disembarkation and off the ship first. As above, make sure you send your bags through ag check on way into airport.

Not trying to hijack this thread.

Just wanted to say "Thank you" to Ashland.

We've been following all your responses regarding SJ/Freedom.

We'll be onboard later this month.

Note: We originally had flights out of SJ at 10:30am...after numerous changes by American Airlines, our flight was now departing SJ at 9:25am.  We decided to call AA and politely requested a later flight.  Much to our surprise, our flight was changed to 11:45am...no charge.

You are so very welcome...Happy to have helped in some small way.

Enjoy this amazing itinerary...We're looking forward to it again in April 2021.
