Carnival Casino Question

Getting ready to go on a Carnival cruise, Usually I take large amounts of cash to play at the casino. I read somewhere that you can charge slot play to your room,  then pay the bill at the end of the trip with your credit card with no fee attached? Is this information correct? TIA

Yes. You are correct. It's very convenient and if you use a credit card that earns reward points to pay your room charges you'll get points on those casino charges

Yes, it is. I know too well! Be careful. You should see some of the casino offers I receive, from a "mistake-in judgement", I made a few years ago.

Kwokpot,...The points are definitely a plus, but the convenience of not carrying around large amounts of money is so nice! We were on an NCL cruise where we overheard a couple talking to security about a missing wallet with 5,000 dollars in it. Not a good way to start out your cruise.

Urbanhawk,... This cruise we have coming up is from a casino offer. We've been on lots of cruises (platinum NCL), (Gold Carnival), and we've never done a casino offer before now. NOT having to tote around cash will also be a first! 🙂

How much is your bankroll? They do have a daily limit for charging to your sail and sign card. I want to say $2000 per day, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Says 5000 daily limit and more if your a premier invited guest. I might look into this more just to make sure. Thanks

On our recent Premier cruise on the Miracle, no fee and you could charge up to $7500 per day. Luckily I never tested the upper limit but had an impressive final invoice after a 13 night cruise.

If you want to play the slots on Carnival at a 10% discount try this.  Sign up for the free AllState Drivewise app and earn points (there's a whole thread on this elsewhere on the forums).  Once you have enough points you can purchase Carnival gift cards at a 10% discount.  A $100 Carnival gift card costs $90 plus 1000 points.  They also have $500 and $1000 gift cards as well.  You take those gift cards on board with you and apply them to your OBC account.  After you setup your casino account on your Sign & Sail card you can transfer funds from your OBC to your casino account.  Transfer that $100 credit you paid $90 for and voila you're playing the slots at a 10% discount.
