Playtime - what do you bring?

Depends on who we're traveling with. In the past we've brought Cards Against Humanity (better with more players), Superfight (requires at least 3 players), One Night Ultimate Werewolf (Needs at least 6 players I think), Spyfall (Needs several players), and Voluspa (2-4 players).

The benefit of all of those games is they are easy to take as they don't involve many pieces. Superfight, Spyfall, CAH, and Werewolf all just have a few cards, and Voluspa has a small board and tiles.

DH & I want to play some type of game while on board. We have decided to bring a Backgammon board because while discussing this we remembered playing it in college. I’m curious as to what other people like to bring/play, especially 2 person games.

We usually bring a deck of playing cards.Smetimes we bring Perquacky.

FYI, most of the ships have a few backgammon and chess tables in the library.

We usually bring a few card games- San Juan and Machi Koro are two of our favorites and are easy to pack.

I thought I remembered that. We like to hang out in the suite lounge on Oasis class ships a d also spend time on our balcony and that’s why we are bringing our own board.

AFAIK, you can check those items out for the week. Just trying to give you a little more space in your suitcase if needed 🙂

We bring a special redesigned game of Jokers and Marbles.  The original game uses marbles.  Since I think I am smarter than the average 6th grader I quickly figured out that chasing rolling marbles around the deck of a moving ship would waste a lot of my time.

So,  I made playing markers out of 1/2 inch bolts with the nut lock tighted onto the bolt.  The painted them different colors.  Works good.

We sometimes bring cards.  Actually you can cards in the casino, at least on Princess.  They are the ones that have been "retired" from casino tables.  They usually cost $1 a deck and are still in pretty good shape.

You can get games in the library so we don't bring them.  We'll get Trivia and sometimes Scrabble.

We're board game geeks and traveling with the family, so we'll almost certainly bring:

* the travel version of Settlers of Catan

* Cards against Humanity

* Lord of the Fries/Gimme the Brain (kids fav)

* A couple of decks of Munchkin

I'm considering getting one of those progressive games of Pandemic, but I'm not sure we'll have enough time for it.

Wow, with that title, you may get some unexpected responses.😀

But seriously, the only thing  we bring is cards if we are organizing a poker run.

Same thought when I saw "playtime".

Cribbage - best card game for two (and good for three or four people as well).

Dominos - many possible games (with aforementioned crib board - even more possibilities).

Chess set.

Poker dice - playing liar dice when one has indulged in the drinks package can be an absolute hoot!

I have a fairly lightweight games compendium which always travels with us (also has backgammon but I do not know to play that!)
