Keeping insulin cool while flying? Carry on?

We will be flying and I will need to take a couple of different insulins for my cruise.  They require to be kept cool and with me.  Will that cooler be considered a one of our carry ons?  How have you handled the check in and security?

The smallest is probably the Frio case.  My sister uses it for her Victoza. Security never blinked.
