Taxi Price to Red Hook

We have a large group of 14+ going on a private charter but it leaves from Red Hook, what is the price per person for a taxi from the port to Red Hook?

$10 - $11/pp each way depending on your port...

 

Seems like you could hire a driver to drive you and pick you up for less...perhaps someone who lives there can suggest someone...either here or on the St Thomas forum on Trip Advisor.

The advantage of hiring a private driver is you'll have someone waiting for you at the dock and you'll be taken directly to your destination. Many taxis can hold up to 25 people so there is a possibility that you would have to wait for the vehicle to fill up and it may make stops before it takes you to Red Hook.

 

The taxi fares are set by the government and are posted online on many sites. The fare blue_water quoted is the posted fare.
