Weight restriction for Noumea bicycle tour

There is a shore excursion in Noumea, New Caledonia, called Bicycle the Bays and Beaches. It has a weight restriction of 95kgs. My husband is a little over that, but he is fit and perfectly able to ride a bike.

Does anyone know how strict this restriction is? Do they actually weigh you?

If you look at bicycle frames and tyres you will see that there are weight limits.  Much the same as you would not try to use a small tyre to support a larger vehicle
