sbaker Posted October 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2019 We'll be on the new Sky Princess in January. There will be 10 of us in our group and we're hoping that they can seat us all at the same table in the main dining room. For those that have been on the Royal Princess or Regal Princess, do you know if they've had tables that accommodate 10 people?
Astro Flyer Posted October 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2019 (edited) Once we were assigned to a table for 10 so it’s possible to have it. Other times I’ve seen having two round tables together & placing a wooden table surface on top to make a larger table. With that large of a table it was nearly impossible to talk to most of the people due to the oblong size of the table. Recently we had a group of 12 and we preferred having 2 adjacent round tables for 6 and rotated seats throughout the cruise. We preferred that setup to an oblong table for 10. Thrak Posted October 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2019 We were assigned a table for 10 on a 28 day cruise. We met some folks we still see from time to day to this day. We are meeting up with them on an upcoming cruise. It's amazing what nice people you can meet on a cruise.

CruiseCrabs Posted October 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2019 We had a party of 11 at one table on the Grand last fall. Your TA can request the set up or you can call Princess. Yes, conversations may not be heard end-to-end in a busy dining room. We all moved seats every night to have an opportunity to connect with each other. ggprincess2004 Posted October 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2019 Make sure all your bookings are linked and requesting the same dining arrangements. They can do tables of 10.
birdiebill Posted October 9, 2019 #7 Share Posted October 9, 2019 We always do Anytime Dining and are willing to share a table with others. We have been seated at a table for 10 on both the Royal and the Regal.
Adventures ahead Posted October 9, 2019 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2019 BTW, note that a table for 10 usually takes longer to serve. We do anytime but not a large table as we want to finish up in time to enjoy more of the evening entertainment. Rotating seats for your group is a great idea.
