AHHHHH I've been patiently waiting for your review on Sunshine. Your reviews are excellent! We leave in 4 weeks for Sunshine, I'm sure you had a great time despite the negative "over crowding" reviews. I try to ignore the naysayers. lol....happy cruising!!

I thought the Anytime dining was always in the midship MDR.  I don't typically do Anytime but didn't want early (to interfere with Bermuda day) or late (so I could eat sometime in between set dining) and not be too stuffed to head over to the Frog and Onion for a pint after dinner. 😀

 

I see a Welcome Aboard Happy Hour.  I've asked about this on Sunshine, so hoping we'll have it, too.

 

I'm not sure about other ships, but Sunrise was aft for anytime.  I've also sailed Pride, but they only have one MDR with two levels (Traditional on the lower level)

We received plastic straws with most of our drinks, usually the server would ask if I wanted one.  I didn't have any sugar straws, but also didn't have any frozen drinks.  Our local coffee shop has two different diameter straws (larger for frozen) and maybe Carnival did too and ran out of the frozen drink plastic straws.

I usually got my drinks in the Red Frog Pub on this cruise.  They were only serving sugar straws with frozen drinks on Sunrise.  Then plastic straws by request (depending on the bartender)  with other drinks. Sodas came with no straws.

Glad to have you back aboard again! On the Sunrise the aft Sunshine Restaurant was used for YTD. I'm sure the Sunshine will have a Happy Hour also, Will probably be in the Red Frog Pub. Enjoy your cruise!

Our bellies full from an excellent lunch at Cucina, we set off to further explore the ship. Here is the Tides Pool, all the way aft on Deck 9 (Lido)…..

Patti told me that she was going to continue exploring the ship, and eventually head back to the cabin to start unpacking. I would continue to keep Yoki company at the Red Frog Rum Bar. Here’s a view looking down the Atrium…..

 

 

This is Carnival Adventures (Shore Excursion Desk), located on Deck 3 in the Lobby…..

 

 

Here is one of several computer hubs located around the ship…..

 

 

Patti heads up to Deck 4 off the Atrium where you will find the upper level of the Radiance Restaurant on the starboard side, and the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse on the port side…..

The Java Blue Café occupies the space that used to be the library on the Triumph. There isn’t a library on the Sunrise, so in the corner they put in some shelves with a very limited supply of books and games…..
