No Wine, no Prize, no casino chips.  Just a backpack that can hold nothing.  Oh and there Are no more mimosas.

We had wine and bubbly on Serenade in December 2017. On Navigator in December 2018 there was nothing remotely alcoholic, only the boring merchandise like key rings and caps. There was also a big difference in the running of these 2 meet and mingles. The staff on Serenade engaged with us; on Navigator, it was like they couldn't get it over and done with fast enough. So I guess it's another example of Royal's inconsistency. :classic_wacko:

We were told no more wine was allowed per corporate.

I must admit, I sign up but don’t attend much because they are almost always scheduled during flowrider times.  That said, we were on the Radiance last September sailing from Seward, Alaska, and I went (no flowrider) and they gave away at least a couple of bottles.  This was the same sailing where the Diamond Concierge on the first night went thru a long diatribe about how there are no overflow lounges on any ships it was corporate policy, and my next cruise 2 months later on the Symphony TA there were two overflow lounges.

I believe on the Transpacific we did this year my wife went and they gave away wine there to.  I was flowriding.

My only point is anytime you hear corporate policy at these events, it is probably just the policy of the hotel staff on this ship at this time.  Just sayin.....

Have always seen wine as a raffle prize, including this year on Navigator.  Haven’t seen alcohol offered for free for probably 10 years - usually juice/water/coffee/cookies or some kind of cheese/crackers/fruit with a cash bar.

Many years ago remember waiters with wine/champagne and the captain came and you could have a photo op - the good old days!  Also ship’s photographer taking a group picture that you could purchase.

Anthem did mimosas and champagne at the meet and mingles up until last year.  They also did free mimosas at least once a sailing in the WJ.

Just got off Allure Sun and they raffled off 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of champagne along with several other little prizes at the Meet and Mingle. They did not give out any free mimosas or rum punch like they have in the past though. No free alcohol but there was a cheese and fruit plate 😀.

I was told on Jewel in June that there was no more wine allowed as dictated by Head Office (and I posted that info here).

There was none given at the M&M on Oasis in September or on Anthem last week.   Just the bag in a bag and the backpack.

I agree with JC that it is the hotel manager who probably dictates what actually happens on board, or Harmony and Allure just didn't get the email!!!!

End of May this year on Grandeur, they gave away wine and/or champagne. Also we both John and Katrina Blair hos the event, so YMMV.

1) Corporate has changed the rule and some ships are using existing stock.

2) Each ship decides for itself and blame corporate for their own choice of less service.

well it only goes to show, the more you cruise, the more you lose. what a shame. like it's really going to hurt their bottom line, and we have been loyal to Royal for 23 yrs now. what's next?

That is a question I don't want a answer too. Because we started in 2009 I've seen many thing go away.

And last Dec on the Anthem they gave away wine at the M&M and a glass of champagne too.
