Confusion about Gratuities on Sun

I am confused about the Gratuities on the Sun. Do the Free at Sea Gratuities for the open bar(approx $20) include the $15 per day service charge or do you pay both?

You pay the service charge for the open bar promo up front on the cruise cost. You pay the daily service charge (ship tips) separately either online or after they bill to your room account At the End of the cruise. You pay both but they are separate.

Gratuities for the open bar and the Daily Service Charge are 2 separate entities

Yes, exactly. Beverage gratuity is mandatory surcharge related only to beverages.

Yes..... from NCL's FAQ section concerning the DSC:

 

The reason there's a fixed service charge is an important one: Our Crew (as are the crew from other lines) is encouraged to work together as a team. Staff members including complimentary restaurant staff, stateroom stewards and behind-the-scenes support staff are compensated by a combination of salary and incentive programs that your service charge supports.

 

As a reminder, Haven / Suite Butlers, Conceirge and the Splash Academy staff DO NOT get anything from this pool.
