Freestyle coke machines rollout?

The newer drink packages mention "Coke Freestyle machines where available (coming soon)."

 

Does anyone have any info on the rollout schedule of these machines?

Are they on any ships yet?

There was a long thread on this a few months ago.

Nothing has been reported about them being available yet.

The ones I have used here are awful, when I choose COKE, they give  me a watered down weird tasting concoction.  Not true and strong Coke syrup.

Last time I brought some bottled cokes onboard!

I agree completely!   I have stopped visiting restaurants that use them.

The machines are fairly wide spread here in grocery stores, self serve restaurants etc.  I have found them to be very close to the older soda gun.  Interesting that some find the machines to be deficient.

I've never had a freestyle machine that served up the same quality soda as a direct pour.

I don’t like the fountain sodas from the bar guns either...any system that gives different types of sodas from the same dispenser isn’t suited to my taste.  We tried their fountain soda package once & quickly learned it wasn’t for us.  For the same daily price we could buy 3 canned sodas but instead we carry our preferred soda onboard.

I won't use something like that either, but how will they prevent those who don't have the coke package from using them?  Will you have to scan your medallion to unlock the machine?  What's to prevent others from filling up while you are close by?

I have used them in a couple of places.

Recently Five Guys in the Harbor Shops comes to mind.

The drink dispensing area was dirty.

I drink diet sodas and I love these things. If there's one on Sky for my next cruise I may not have to bring any soda with me.

On RCL, the machine will only dispense if you have one of their special tumblers with a chip in it.

So you have to keep the same drink glass for the entire cruise.  Do I have it right?  What if you misplace it.  Do they give me a new one.

Wasn’t a big fan of the machines on RCL as they were few and far between and always busy. People took forever to select their flavours. I usually just went to the bars for fountain pop in a regular glass, so never had the opportunity to lose my tumbler.
