BOGO in the Crown Grill on embarkation night

The only BOGO I’ve ever seen was in that TA coupon book. With that said, I haven’t seen it in years. And I don’t remember it being limited to the first day only (although I could be remembering it wrong)

As others have posted, it is in the coupon book that some folks get...depending on what promos were part of their specific booking.   We used one of those coupons on the recent CB cruise to Greenland and expected the Crown Grill to be crowded (because we knew many had the coupon books).  The restaurant was only about half full.  The reality is that many folks do not want to go to an alternative restaurant on the first night of a cruise.  Personally, we love to do the alternate restaurants that first night (on most cruises) since we always opt for open seating which is often a mess on that first night.  While folks are dealing with the lines and the MDR issues, we are just relaxing with a wonderful meal in the Crown Grill (or other restaurants on different cruise lines).

When did they do that?

Never heard of it.

What are the details?

It has been in the coupon books for several years now. Yes, it is in this years books.

In your personalizer it is marked "cruise night coupon books" or something like that. Many people just throw these out. This is the only decent book - you can often combine it with a free bottled water at a speciality restaurant. It says you can't but you can.

Have you been on the moon the past several years? :)

We have received that coupon book from our TA the past two years but never used it since we got dinner with our suite and AMEX.  Lately for suites, they make a reservation for you and there is a card in your room.  They always book it for 6:30 and we like to eat later.    We usually do not like going the first night and have been able to change it.   We have six weeks coming up so I would not mind getting half price since we go often.    Has anyone had luck with getting coupon switched  to another night?   thanks

You know I saw the title and the CG part did not register.

Only the BOGO. Automatically thought back to the Happy Hours and BOGO for the drinks.

Too late to edit.......

I have used the coupon a couple of times. Mea Culpa.  🥺

Where would you find this in the personalizer?  I never remember seeing it on our last cruise ,but we did have them and used it.

I actually don't have a cruise booked right now to look but I swear I saw this in the personalizer previously. Hopefully someone can answer.

It is listed under "special services" in the travel summary.

I have 2 cruises that show them right now as cruise night coupon books along with the free specialty restaurant cover charge.

Not sure if it has the BOGO in it.

Found it, wow, they sure bury stuff like that.  Mine isn't showing  it, just the free gratuities.  But I still have one from our last cruise, so I will use it for this one.  Thanks!

Don't see "travel summary".  I have "booking summary"; however, there is no "special services" listed.

If you look under the Booking Summary of your cruise, then right below the header a line that has how many days till your cruise, and across from that is "Boarding Pass and Travel Summary", then Print Travel Summary, and in the actual travel summary it's listed.   Like I said they hide it well, it's not in one of the categories under the booked cruise, that would be too easy.

Got it.  We don't have to "check" anything.

We have never gotten the TA booklets. The Princess booklets have "almost" always been worthless. Unless the one I am thinking of came from a TA. Seriously, I don't know. The only one I ever got that wasn't totally worthless (to me) had a BOGO drink coupon for Skywalkers. I used it at 10:55 PM for a straight up drink and then took advantage of the (at that time) regular BOGO that was good from 11:00 to midnight. I got a double Bulleit (straight up) using the coupon and 5 minutes later got another double Bulleit (straight up) under the "regular" BOGO. This netted me 4 straight up drinks for the price of 2. Of course the venue (Skywalkers) screwed up and charged me for 2 drinks on the first (coupon) order but I got it straightened out. (Always check your charges!) I actually poured the 4 drinks into a single glass, took them to my cabin, put them on the shelf, and went to bed. Nice to have 4 drinks available the next day having payed the price of 2.

I am expecting to have the BOGO dinner coupons available next year in our B2B2B in Australia and New Zealand. I'll likely order the shrimp rather than the steak. I find it really hard to eat the entire offering - especially if I get beef. (Sigh... I used to love a big beef dinner...)

There are two types of coupon books. The first is generic, loaded with casino, spa, shops and beverage promos - a rehash of the  same multitude of paper "deals" we receive every day...and toss into the wast basket. Seems just about everyone gets one of those. The other booklet is the Cruise Night Coupon Book. I looked at the info for our upcoming cruise on the Crown. Listed under Special Services, page 4/5, are two books, one for each of us. At one time, it also included a comp 1/2 bottle of wine...doubt if that's still included, but we will take advantage of dining at the Crown Grille....heck, with two booklets we might even dine in Sabaitini's, though I'm not a fan of the current menu.....loved the old, old offerings. Oh how I wish Princess would go back to the old Elite Lounge beverage menu. Cosmo and Chairman were our favorite drinks. DH has already ordered the hard liquor for our cabin so we can make our own drinks. Guess I'm spoiled by the comp drinks on Celebrity.
