Adventure - showtimes changed to 6:30 / 8:30 pm now

Hi,

Currently on Adventure of the Seas.  A couple of days ago, they announced shows would be at 6:30 & 8:30 pm.  No shows scheduled after 9 pm.  Love & Marriage game show was held at 8 pm.  We've been on ship since Sept. 16th & they just made changes.

Curious, are other ships now doing the same thing?

Cheers,

NJ

My RCI Galveston ships have always been 6:30 and 8:30, unless they did only one show (sometimes done on the first day and last full day -- then usually 7:15). Love and Marriage was always late night, as were the adult comedy shows. I'll find out in a couple of weeks if this changed. Does the AOS have the 70's disco party in the promenade? If so, what time? Ours from Galveston is usually 10pm. And the Quest is usually 10 or 10:30pm. Of course, neither of these are in the main theater.

I'd be disappointed with 8pm for Love and Marriage show, since we usually have late fixed-time dining and would miss it (unless we eat other than the MDR, such at the buffet).

Don't know about the Quest,70's disco party - last cruises they were held 10 pm but now who knows what they're doing.  It's frustrating coz we have to rearrange our dinner times depending on what the show is.  If we know the show is going to be good, it's better to go to the 6:30 time.  Seems that people prefer to stay in the Diamond Lounge for drinks instead of go to the show at 6:30 so now the 8:30 show is pretty busy.   Adventure is showing movies in theatre at 9:30 instead.  Trying to figure out what the reasoning is behind this change.  Do they want us to go to bed early or maybe everyone should go the casino if we're bored??

Likely a one time thing about Love and Marriage at 8. Other shows are based on when your main and late dinners are. Yours are most likely 5:30 and 8:30

Hi Nancy Jo:

We thought perhaps they used the L&M Gameshow as the main “Show” at 8PM this cruise as a result of the Halifax Port closure.  Drew mentioned on the Morning Show that they were scrambling since two entertainers were supposed to get onboard there.  Just a guess, but hopefully it is only for this cruise.  We usually go but couldn’t due to our Dinner reservations.

Been that way several yrs ship's I been on. But week to week on same ship times Main Dining open and show times can change, happens every yr to me doing B2B2B.  Usually 1st and last nite Welcome/Farewell combined for all at 715pm. The at least one other nite no show at all... 25-30yrs ago Main Shows were at 8:30 and 1030pm. You'd eat, then go to show early and late, both seating's

Hopefully, that is the reason for the L&M show change.  Look forward to Serenade next week to see if they follow the same program.

We are currently on Adventure.  I assumed the show was used as a filler, too, due to the missed port.  WE had a reservation for MTD at 7:30 so we missed it.  However, it is being shown on the TV. There were some interesting answers to questions.

We are really enjoying your excellent review of our cruise!  Great pictures too!
