Wow -- such a disappointment.     There was a lot of locals people in Mykonos since it was Sunday.   I can't even imagine what it would be like with 5 ships in port.   The private tour was well done and we really got the feel of the island from a locals perspective.

We have done about a dozen TA and have enjoyed them both.    The ship is probably not as important as the route and ports.   Our favorite route is the Southern Crossing.  Depending on the weather the temperatures can be a little chilly until you get to the Canaries and then the crossing is usually Hawaii type temperatures until you get close to FLL.

Thanks -   We met Joanne yesterday who will be the new Suites Manager after Priscilla goes on vacation at the end of the cruise.  She is a Glasgow girl and has quite the accent.

Last. Night we mixed things up a bit.  
 

There wasn’t anything on Luminae that interested us, so decided to give one of the main dining rooms a try.  We looked at the menus and choose Normandy.  We were told just to show up as the only reservation available on the app was 5:45.  
 

We showed up at 9:00 thinking it would be quiet but were surprised to find a line outside and people waiting in the lobby.  The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and ask us to stand to her right and had us immediately seated.   We later noticed that those waiting wanted large tables of 4 or more. 
 

 

 

Normand is a beautiful dining room.  A little noisy but the noise died down as the night went on. 
 

 

 

 

 

We wanted to try the French Inspired dishes. I chose the Potato Tart and the Beef En Croute while Iain chose the Chicken Liver and also the beef.  
 

Everything was delicious and we were addressed and name by all servers.  
 

 

 

For desert we had banana foster which was just so so.

Monday - Katakolon

 

i got up at 8:00 and realized we had not yet docked.   The Ocean View Cafe was packed when I went to Al Bacio Segundo.  
 

it is now 9:00 and we have docked.  
 

 

We have been here before and will be spending time in port and on the ship.

Christina O is in port today.  She was sold and now is available for private charter if you have a spare 500,000-750,000 euros.

We were noticing that you can easily do Olympia on your own.  Prices range from 5-20Euros.    There’s a train that cost 20 running from end of town or bus for 5 Rt

I see Ashlee Amber is listed  for the theater tonight.  We did not have her on our EDGE cruise and were disappointed

 

..At the time there were rumors of  discussions about her doing her Whitney repertoire or somethng Miami was pushing ..seems the Whitney show is back!

 

   If you go to the show we'd love to hear about it..maybe a photo clip..thanks.

I am so glad to see that Ashlee Amber is on the EDGE. She is a phenomenal powerhouse performer.

I noticed on her calendar that she will be on for the beginning of the TA also. 

BTW, have you run into our friends yet, Daniel & Larry?  I sent an email to you with their stateroom #, I didn't want to post it here on the public message board.

So far we are loving Edge.  Takes a couple of days to get used to it.

Waiting to hear from Jim on that,  but on our EDGE cruise,  they no longer produced a print version...It scrolled awkwardly/horizontally  along the tv....once you found it.

I asked about it when Cruise Critic had the Q and A with LLP,   and was told it would remain in that format...no print out.    Maybe it's  also on the app which we do not use???  We really missed having it in our materials
