Iain had the pork which he said was the most tender pork he has ever eaten.

I had the chicken which I felt was dry and a spice I didn’t care for.   Didn’t bother me much as I was not really hungry.

Do they mind when you order from the Kids Menu?  I plan to do this on my next cruise. We have low salt so we always order dinner the night befote.

Not at all.   We have ordered from it at Blu and Main Dining also.    Iain had the Mac and Cheese one night and enjoyed it.

Thanks again for the pictures.  I also like to take lots of pictures of doorways and stairs when I travel.  Have you done a TA on the Infinity or Connie?  I like to feel the ocean so I know I'm sailing and not just on a floating hotel.

We have done TA’s in all the M and S class ships.

this crossing has a nice gentle movement except for a rough day at the beginning.  The seas today are about 7 feet with a gentle roll.   I sleep like a baby.

Lunch today

I had the chicken gyro which was perfect size and delicious. I would definitely order it again. Iain has the ravioli which he enjoyed. For desert we both had the pear.  Yummy

are you getting a familiar trend.  I keep forgetting to take pix of desert.   Before I think of it I take a bite.   I never take pictures of half eaten meals.

Jim and lain,

‘’Trish and Karen here.  From your Summit cruise in June.  I have been following along with great interest.  Love your blogs and pictures.  As you consider a future cruise please consider the Connie out of Tampa for the 11 night ABC cruise during Thanksgiving 2020. It will be refurbished just like the Summit by then.  We have our usual Penthouse and would love to have you join us.  There are still “reasonably” priced suites available.  Of course “reasonable” is all relative in the new Celebrity world.  We have a mid-May 10 night booked on the Summit in our usual PS.  May or may not make that due to my travel schedule.

Jim_Iain,  since you both love crossings, why not change your 2020 place-holder trip from Oct. to Sep 11 on the Millie, Vancouver/Tokyo?  A friend has gotten together a group of seven or eight.  We'd love for you to join us on this trip!

Donna

We did the Millennium TP last year.   While we enjoyed it I'm not sure I would be anxious to do again so soon.   That was the B2B that we got hit with two typhoons.

We had Eclips booked for the November 24th Singapore to Sydney booked and the December 10th  Sydney - New Zealand - Melbourne book.     We originally tried to book the Nov 10th Eclipse Singapore - Viet Nam - Singapore  but the ship was scheduled for Dry dock.    The rescheduled dry dock so I was able to pick up the Nov 10th cruise today.

In between the two Sydney cruises they have a 2 night sampler (weird).    We have been warned not to stay aboard for the Booze Cruise so will be getting off the ship for a couple days.  Our best friends live in Sydney and will be with us for the Singapore to Sydney cruise so have a place to stay.

We have been looking replacing the cruise we have on Summit with the Eclipse 7 night Pacific Coast Cruies -   It would be weird overnighting in San Francisco.

Trish and Karen -

Great hearing from you.   Your ears must have been ringing.    We were telling some people about the Chef B's dinner and the wonderful time we had visiting the renovated Summit Penthouse you shared with us.   Would always be a delight to sail with your again.

That cruise sounds like a wonderful itinerary but looks like we now have an almost B2B2B (san 2 nights) booked from Singapore and Sydney.

Not sure if they actually ever discontinued the free movies.   They have about 20-30 they appear to be for a charge.   You have to go through 3-4 screens like you are going to pay and then they show 0.00 will be charged to your account

The pay ones show the price on the second screen.

Thank you very much Jim!  Really appreciate this!

Is that the one going to Charleston? My mother, sister and I are in a SS on that sailing...our third on the Summit. So looking forward to it. Jim, I think you and Iain should join us on that one!

Hi can you confirm that beverage packs can be used in the martini bar.  There is discussion on another thread that agents are now saying no beverage packs are to be accepted in the martini bar.  I previously thought it was just that the classic package would require top up for Martinis but would allow other drinks here.  And the Premium would allow some of the martinis too.   A bit worrying for the Edge as no other bars near the main atrium to sneak off too.

I have been using the premium beverage package in the Martini Bar - all of the Martinis except a couple are covered by that package.

We had many drinks in the Grand Plaza (atrium) in the seating by the Martini Bar, serviced by the Martini Bar, using our premium package. We rarely had the drinks on the menu on the last cruise (maybe a Cosmo or two) - they are a full service bar and will make other drinks that fit your package. I can't imagine that they won't make a Classic martini and variations, just not the fancy ones on the menu, with top shelf ingredients. The Premium package will cover the $15 drinks listed on the menu, as well as any drink that you want within the $15 limit. Hope that isn't changing, but can't imagine it is, with so many seats there and it being a general gathering place.

FYI, The Casino has an excellent bar at the Grand Plaza (atrium) end of the Casino on Deck 4. It is by a doorway so don't have to walk through the Casino to get to it. Cafe al Bacio on 4 has some tables that overlook the Grand Plaza and they have bar service there (albeit more basic). We would try to score a table there to watch live music below - quieter up there, if things are hopping in the GP. 🙂

I've used my Premium Package at the Martini Bar.    Possibly the other thread was referring to the restriction of using you Captain's Club Free Drink hours (5-7) at the Martini Bar (which is specifically listed as not included).

Thanks -   I never think of the Casino Bar and could be a great place to grab a drink.
