We ordered off the kids menu tonight (so we thought).   We both opted for the 4 ounce Filet and baked potato.

Then came the steak.  Kumar delivered a Huge Filet which was delicious but hated to throw away at least 1/2 of it.

What’s for breakfast?

We always eat breakfast in our room but I usually run up to Oceanview to grab a Double Cappuccino.     Decided to look at the offerings at Aqua Spa and Oceanview

Nice photos thank you!  Your getting me very excited, I been on 92 cruises so far and the Edge be my first Celebrity cruise in December, can't wait!  The nice thing, we start Celebrity out as being Premier Elite!

I just don't know what I am going to do as all that food looks excellent, I guess I can try alot of food but keep the portions tiny?🤔

I’m sure you will enjoy.  There are so many options that one could never try them all.

I try to limit portion sizes and walk about 12 miles a day.  It’s noon and I got 9 miles so far.

The ships crew are diligently cleaning the ship in preparation for US inspection.   Grew are opening all the firehouse cabinets and polishing all he connectors.  The staff say starting tonight the have to spend extra hours doing “special cleaning”.

12 miles!!  Good for you. How in the world do you do that on the ship?  What is your exercise routine?

I walk the track on the ship.  Edge has the best track I have experienced.    It goes up and down two decks and gives lots of additional aerobic benefits.    it usually takes me about 4 hours.   I do the same at home daily so try to keep up.   When it is cold or windy I walk up and down hallways,   Starting on deck 12 and work my way down.     Edge is pretty good for this also as many of the deck you can make complete laps.

We've also walked the hallways when it's not so great outside. Where there's a will there's a way.

I had the flatbread Chicken - actually I just ate the chicken.   Iain  had the salmon starter.

This morning started out partially cloudy and 70 degrees.   The clouds burned off and we enjoyed moderate seas and a nice 75 degree day.

The pool was well used and I noticed pool butlers enforcing chair hog activities.

We recently returned from the TA on the Infinity and one thing that we really liked was that there were always MANY chairs available around the pool no matter the time of day, even during the 7 sea days.......guess it isn’t like that on all TA’s on all ships 😩

Agree.    Edge is pretty good but They had had problems in the AquaSpa and adjacent to the pool.    There have always been loungers available but I believe they are reacting to people who stake out chairs and don’t come back for hours.

Do you have a sense of how many may be doing a b2b with the next ABC cruise?

Still not too late for you to sign on!!!

I've been told that there are about 125 B2B's.    They will be required to disembark the ship until the ship is zeroed out and cleared.

Wish we could stay aboard but need to get home.   It would be fun to meet you.

Jim

Look forward to meeting you another time...so much gratitude for sharing your travels with us. Hope you enjoy the next few days.

Someone on the roll call for next week has asked about the stores on board. If you have a chance maybe you could take a look.  We were not impressed with stores in Jan.   Hope shopping  has improved...

I don’t think they have changed much.

i shot some pictures a  couple days ago.  Lots of High End Stores - Tiffany, Cartier, Coach, Bvgari etc. The gift shop and duty free are about 1/2 the size of other ships.

Duty  free very small and limited supply.   Iain smokes Marlboro Red 100’s and they do not carry. He purchased in Canary Islands instead.

I don’t understand the thinking as the High End shops are always empty.

it the regular shop limited merchandise and price cars seem higher than other ships.   I did notice in Duty free they had a selection of drug store items.

One thing I have noticed is lack of those “sales” they have on other ships.

I'm not much of a shopper - I hate the sale scrums that used to clog up that part of the ship but it would be nice to be able to buy a reasonable priced T shirt - I read on board they are $90? I don't think so😐

All the OBC in the world could not entice me to pay $90 for a t-shirt...……..

When I gasped, the snooty sales person scoffed at me and said they are Bamboo you know...my reply would need a bleep button    She then showed us some dirty old generic X tee shirts, possibly good for washing the car!
