I see there is a ski lift that takes you to the beach. It has a fee. Can this be pre purchased on the ship? do they take cash at the beach for food?

No, we have not been able to purchase the pass on the ship.  Yes, they take cash at the beach.

You can buy tickets for the chair ride near the entrance to the ride. They take both credit cards and cash. The last time we were there I believe it was $14.  Be prepared for frequent stops on the chair ride. We have been on the chair ride several times and it has always stopped multiple times on every ride.  Not a bad thing in my book, it gives you more time to look at the scenery and take pictures.

If you rent one of the beach cabanas the chair lift as well as the zip line are included with the rental fee, FYI.

 

As PhillyFan33579 noted it does stop fairly often.  It is actually quicker to walk, but the ride and the view is nice.

The walk is not far at all. The lift is just more fun. I don’t think you can purchase it on the ship because it is not an excursion. That road below to the side  is where you can walk. Smooth and easy

Yes, you can purchase it on the ship.  $64.99 for a couples pass that includes a beach float and a clamshell on the beach.

 

We bought tickets directly from the vendor, I believe they were $8 each last September and used the free lounge chairs at the beach.
