I believe that OP was asking if someone was considering one of these cruises and offering the above pics as enticements to complete the booking.😊

We flew into Buenos Aires on a day flight arriving in the evening. We stayed at the Amerian Hotel .

Coming in for a landing

DSC03175%202_zpsj3tvuyw9.jpg

Finding our luggage was easy but we had to pass it through an X-Ray machine . At our rent a car place we were told that our rental car had been wrecked by the wind flipping it into a tree . We were also cautioned to park facing into the wind to avoid having the doors ripped off . Welcome to Patagonia !

The crosswind was about 50 mph from the left ( West ) . Shots from the car with my pocket camera

We were booked on the Jan 2021 Antarctica cruise, but jumped ship over to the Princess Coral when we found out X only sails for 2 days in Antarctica waters whereas Princess and HAL sail for 4 days there.

We are on the Coral Princess also.  A better itinerary for us.  I hope Santa comes to Iceland.

HAL has the 3 week cruises.  We did not have 3 weeks to give.

We did the HAL 22 day one on the Zaandam in Jan 2018 and were simply wowed by all the various animal life, not only around the Antarctica peninsula but also on the Falkland Islands as well as in SA. We just wanted to do it one more time before they stop the “drive by” cruises in the Antarctica and also to Greenland starting Jan 2022.

I meant to say  I hope Santa comes to Antarctica.  Lol.

We are going to Iceland next year on the Island Princess though.

Two very scenic trips.

We would have been most comfortable on the Eclipse but the reduced cruise days in Antarctica was a factor . Also they don't go to Puenta Arenas , a major adventure port and we think they miss Glacier Alley . Princess misses Puerto Madryn , a great penguin and wildlife port . Only HAL went to all the ports and being retired , 22 days was fine for us on the Zaandam . We would have preferred the Westerdam but they won't go until 2020-2021 . Again , it's all about the destinations for us .

We can watch the movie while on the ship in Antarctica at Christmas time next year.

The reason that we are going is that we asked an older cruiser what the best cruise destination is.  He had been to many.  He said Antarctica.

Given the new ship rules for the region we figured that it was time to go.

After passing the lake we turned West into the wind which made driving easier .We really prefer the open road driving and scenery to the cities

Entering El Chalten . The peaks were backlit and we were hoping for better light in the morning

We stayed in El Chalten which is a hiking area , but with bad knees we will not do much hiking . We stayed at Los Cerros in the CH. Darwin room . We had a shower and a large tub which has a window overlooking the bedroom with a selfie reflection .

Funny!  We are doing Santiago to Buenos Aires (on Eclipse) in January and Iceland and Ireland (on Reflection) in July.  We seem to have the same cruising interests!

Yes it certainly seems so . We really did enjoy our SA experience and hope that you do as well . Is this your first trip there ? We also have Ireland scheduled as the second part of a TA but on a different cruise line . Our previous TA's were on the Eclipse and the Connie . We also enjoyed a Baltic trip and a trip to the ABC islands for an anniversary on the Eclipse .

We had dinner at La Taperia which was very good . I didn't bring my camera so no food photos . This photo is from Google Maps .

At bed time the wind almost sounded like a hurricane . But it died over night and the sun was out so we jumped in the car for a ride , retracing our steps .
