We were part of the Sept 1st Hurricane Dorian rescheduling cruises do to port closures.

We had travel insurance (Travel Safe)  for the medical part but the policy also had trip delay so we filed a claim on Sept 7 for hotel and food.

We just got a e-mail on 10-19-19 saying our claim was approved and we should receive a check in about 10 days.

Is this the normal time frame  from your experience in the past?

I have always had insurance but this is the first time using it.

We have had to cancel 2 cruises.  Reimbursement took between 2 and 3 months.
