Welcome to Cruise Critic.  You have mistakenly posted in the area of the forum for those having technical difficulties using the forums.  It would benefit you to browse through the main boards page, taking note of the many places your can find information.  One of these is the Ports of Call forums:  https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/2-ports-of-call/  The fourth choice on the list is Asia.  Click on that and browse, then ask your question if you don't see any threads that might address it..

The second place is the ROLL CALL for your cruise.  The roll call is where you can connect with other CC members who will be sailing with you.  there, you can introduce yourself and ask where others might be staying, as well as discuss excursions, etc.  This topic in the stickies above might be of assistance to you:

I see you already found your roll call back in June when you first joined.  There appears to have been a lot of activity since then, so maybe you should revisit and catch up.

Singapore has two cruise terminals -  which of the two terminals: Singapore Cruise Centre, located at Harbourfront Centre and VivoCity, 10 to 15 minute taxi drive from downtown, and Marina Bay Cruise Centre (MBCCS), which is located just 5 minutes away from downtown and a metro station (MRT) 600 meters from the terminal.

You might find some inspiration in this topic also

Connie will dock at Marina Bay Cruise Centre. That said, there is no need to limit yourself to hotels near there. Transport is a breeze, whether its the metro or taxis. We stayed at the Fairmont (10min taxi ride from the cruise centre), which is on top of City Hall metro station, a massive mall with loads of eateries and you can also walk underground to the Suntec Centre (which is another mall) which is where the HOHO buses operate from. We really liked it. City Hall metro is also on the line that serves Changi airport, so thats easy to get to/from too.

PS We spent 4 days there...no where near enough time!

Our favorite place in Singapore: Andaz Singapore!

A bit less price but also very good: Pan Pacific Singapore.

We also stayed at the Marina Bay Sands. Great hotel and nice experience but just masses and impersonal.

And as mentioned above, no need to stay close to the terminal. Transportation is easy and inexpensive in Singapore.

We've stayed at the Intercontinental, attached to a mall with many restaurants and shops, and at the Carlton, which is just across the street from a mall with shops and restaurants and a food court.  We loved both hotels. Walking distance to several sights and the Marina. Easy to get to and from cruise terminal and airport.

Have stayed all over Singapore, had a corporate apartment in the city for  a while. Singapore is really a tale of two Cities, great high end hotels like the Ritz Carlton, good place to stay for F1 racing, Marina Bay Sands great all around hotel and several other 5 star offerings.  But lately we have been going more local hotels around the Chinatown area and Little India. Lots of great values and you can see the real Singapore vs the tourist Singapore. Both of these areas are a short taxi ride to the port.  No reason you need to pick a hotel based upon the port, most areas of Singapore are very close.

I totally agree...

I love the hotels in Farrer Park and the AMOY in Chinatown... No "big box"...
