Docking at Crown Bay

We will be docking at Crown Bay on the Equinox next month. My husband wants to do the skyride to Paradise Point and I'd like to go to a beach.

Unfortunately, it seems as if this would be much easier if we were docked at the other port. Does anyone have any recommendations on how we should go about doing this, which beach we should go to, and how much time we need to get back to our dock? We will be in port from 8am-5pm with three other ships (no mega ships, and one is small).

Not a problem with your time in port...

One of our favorite options is to taxi to gorgeous Sapphire Beach (or one of the other East End beaches like Coki and Secret Harbor depending on the vibe you want), $11/pp from Crown and worth the 25 min ride. We would taxi from Sapphire  ($10/pp back to Havensight) by 1:30 and head to the lower tram to Paradise Point. Enjoy drinks and the view at PP and tram down and taxi back to Crown. Allow 30 minutes for the taxi back to Crown for the traffic in Charlotte Amalie and your fellow cruise mates also returning. The tram passes are often available at your ship excursions desk for a little less and may be refundable if you change your itinerary...
