Carnival Shareholder Benefit

Does anyone know if this is a refundable or non refundable credit? On Princess, non refundable credits are used first, then refundable credits. I have actually gotten a check for unused military credit( a refundable credit). Took about 7 or 8 weeks. It is not taxable as it is looked at as a price adjustment. Just wondering if the shareholder credit is similar. The military credit is different because you only have to submit proof once, and it's automatically applied on every cruise after. I've saved over $1500 on ten cruises so far. If I can double that with shareholder credit........
