Clarea Posted October 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2019 There are tables for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12.
stevea36 Posted October 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2019 We have found that My Time Dining tables are usually 2, 4, or 8. If you do not want to sit alone be sure to mention to the host/hostess that you are OK to share a table.
cruiseguy1016 Posted October 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2019 (edited) How large is your group? You may want to consider two (or more) smaller tables. It's difficult to hold a conversation at a table with more than 6 or 8 seated at it. Edited October 29, 2019 by cruiseguy1016
Rare 1025cruise Posted October 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2019 If you have a large group, it might be better to do traditional dining.

My interpretation of "Open Seating" would be that you have a group of people cruising together, that you admit booked separately, but you would like everyone seated at tables near each other, so that you can sit at different tables with each other and 'rotate' over the length of the cruise. I have seen groups arrange that type of Open Seating, if that is what you mean. If you are referring to MyTimeDining as "Open Seating" that would probably be much more difficult to do as I described. I sailed with a group on Indy several years ago, and we put together a table of 14, but it was during Early Traditional Dining. People changed seats around the table over the course of the sailing, but we all sat at the same table. Some nights people were missing who went to a specialty restaurant. Just make sure everyone in the group has been assigned MTD.
