noblepa Posted November 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2019 Has anyone taken this flight? DW and I are sailing on the Zuiderdam Jan. 3, 2020 and will visit Georgetown, Cayman Islands. I just got an email from HAL, showing some featured excursions in Georgetown. This helicopter flight looked interesting, but the description said it was 8-10 minutes long. Another box listed it as 0 3/4 hours long (I presume that means 45 minutes). $139.95 pp for 8 minutes seems a little steep. A 45 minute flight might not be bad. So, which is it, 8 minutes or 45 minutes?
panoramaofthepast Posted November 7, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2019 I haven't seen this, but my guess is that the entire excursion would last 45 minutes, with part of that time taken up with safety instructions, boarding and deplaning; the total time in the would then be 8-10 minutes. Have you checked with the Excursions people at HAL?
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 7, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2019 I agree with the above poster. Total excursion time would be 45 minutes as you have to allow for boarding and deboarding the helicopter.
Himself Posted November 7, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2019 45 mintes woul be a long time to be in the air. 45 minutes for the whole time makes a lot of sense.
