Having a car is a necessity. But you can by a used car in the low thousands. I think many more people than you realize have 20+k available and pay cash for cars.

 

I sold a condo last year for over 100k and the buyers paid cash.

For us using the card, we have excellent credit thus we have 0% interest for the first 6 months.  It just extends the time a bit to pay off the cruise without interest added.  I don’t see what the big issue is on using it.

I don't think anyone has a problem with that.  However, booking a cruise on credit that can have an APR up to 36% is mind blowing.
