workstocruise Posted November 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2019 We have cruised a lot, but never the week of Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell me if the ship will be decorated for Christmas? We are bringing our grandchildren and I’m hoping it will be. Thank you
Clarea Posted November 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2019 Our experience has been that decorations start going up the day after Thanksgiving and take a few days to complete.
dplusd Posted November 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2019 We often sail the week AFTER Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations are complete by our boarding day. I bet they will be almost complete by Saturday, your last day.
biomedbob Posted November 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2019 We've been on Thanksgiving and the decorations are up the next morning!
Rare 1025cruise Posted November 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2019 More than likely not until the cruise after Thanksgiving (as it should be).
JustUs275 Posted November 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2019 We were on Oasis over Thanksgiving 2 years ago, and they began putting Christmas decorations up Thanksgiving night. It was fun watching them go up! Terri
GEORGIEGIRL Posted November 9, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Usually the week/cruise after the last weekend in November they start to put them up.

PIR8LUVR Posted November 9, 2019 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Yes, they start to go up the day after. We’ve been several times during Thanksgiving week. We’d go out on excursions and be shocked to see how much was done while we were out.
workstocruise Posted November 9, 2019 Author #10 Share Posted November 9, 2019 Ok thanks. We don’t get off till Sunday, Dec 1st, so we may get to see some for those last 2 days. We were on a Princess New Year’s cruise 2 years ago and when we boarded on Dec 27 Christmas was still up but starting at midnight on the 31st, the crew began taking it all down. By the next day, it was gone. They work so fast!
