black Friday / cyber monday

Just wondering if airlines have special deals to book flights on black Friday or cyber Monday?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  But never anything on the order of the doorbuster cheap TVs to get you into the store.

 

Remember that "sales" may or may not cover your travel routes and/or dates.  So if you are busy "hoping", be prepared to be disappointed.  Hope is never a strategy.

And remember that airlines are operating at record high load factors, so there is little reason for steep discounting.  Or much of any discounting.

Our experience in looking for transpacific flights at that time over each of past four or five years was there were no bargoons.    We got better fares in December and sometimes early Jan.  as long as we made certain to work around the lunar new year.

 

We will still check though just in case.
