RC drink packages and Black Friday

We just purchased a Mediterranean cruise for September 20, 2020 on the Allure of the Seas. We are definitely going to purchase a drink package, what are your experiences with black Friday deals?

While I don't have any experience, noob here, I did find this on the royal Caribbean blog.

my January sailing drink package did not move on black Friday or cyber Monday. also be aware the royal "sale" banners i.e. " 50% off" "30% off" are just words rarely do that actually translate to real savings. keep an eye on the number "xx per person per day" typical from what i see on the boards as well as my own experience the package ranges around 50-80 per person per day. yes that is a huge range but id say if you see it on the lower end of that range i would book it. if it drops again you can always re-book it at the new price and cancel/get refunded the original one you booked.

Well.... I found out my particular cruise to the Mediterranean in September with Royal Caribbean only offered by one get one 50% off which amounted to $56 per person per day plus gratuity. I opted to wait. I bought a three night dining package and Wi-Fi package instead!

For our January Caribbean cruise, the drinks package was also advertised as buy one get one 50% off, but the price hasn’t changed from when we originally purchased  it.  Kinda thinking that at this point it is unlikely to drop any further 😕
