It's St. John For Us

We have looked and studied and we are in port from 8:00am-5:00pm, so here's what we want to do.  

 

--Grab a Taxi at the dock in St. Thomas to Red Hook - approx cost $__________?

--Hop on the Red Hook Ferry to Cruz Bay - and the cost is $________?

--Find a tour or taxi that will take us on a tour of the island, with a few stops thrown in.  We would not want to stay at a beach for relaxing or snorkeling.

--Back to Cruz Bay in time to shop and/or eat lunch.

--Back to dock before 3:30 at latest.

--There are 4 of us

 

So what do you think? And thank you so much for your help!  (And yes, I do see things here on these Threads, but hopefully you can help us with our questions)

Yes, there are soooo many recent threads where folks take the time to detail the costs and recent visitors provide ideas for STJ...

 Pulling from one of those threads -

 

Cost to get to Cruz Bay from Havensight (WICO) = ~$36.50/pp round trip ($10/pp, 20 - 25 min taxi to Red Hook, $8.25/pp, 20 min ferry to Cruz). Add $2 from Crown. 

 

2-hour island tours are offered for $25/pp on safari taxis

From VInow dot com -

• Sightseeing Tours: 2 hours – One passenger $50; two or more passengers $25 per person. 3 hours – One passenger $70; two or more passengers $35 per person.

Adding the island tour makes your first visit to STJ even more memorable.

 

There are also private tour options where you have your own driver, this one includes drinks - 2.5 hrs for $50/pp, 4 hrs for a $100/pp - nice day that!!!

Cruz Bay Landing for lunch. You can't miss it because it's visible from the ferry dock if you look straight ahead.

Or High Tide which is to the right off the ferry. It's right on the water.

Lol, I should be more specific! I am hoping for an approximate cab fare from the cruise port to Valley beach. Is this a safe port to take a cab ? I am told it’s about a 30 minute drive.

Music: Sorry for being so snippy. LOL. Lots of people see St. John and think it's St. John's, Antigua. It doesn't help that people also call St. John, USVI, "St. John's". As Blue said, you should check on the Antigua forum. 😉
