Yes or no on upsell

Just received this in email, standard guaranteed Veranda cabin to a Signature Suite for $169.00 PP on Nov 30, seven day cruise on N.A. Not sure right now.

I agree up to you! We love signature suites and for us it is only 7 days but we would take it. As catl331 says what is the price difference!

If the price is right for you, take it.  Signature suites are our favorite rooms.

IMO - that is a very reasonable upsell offer.  I would take it!   Love the signature suites!

I would do it -- and I am not a suite person! The reason? -- a guaranteed Verandah could be ANYWHERE! but none of the Sig.Suites are all the way forward or aft. (Except the two SQ's and I'm pretty sure they won't be giving away the Spa Suites.)

 

The Nieuw Amsterdam rides smooth, but halving the hike to the far end of the ship is a benefit to us.

Go for it! Great price plus you get twice the sailing number of days with a suite.

Sounds like a good deal to me.  The Signature suites are alot larger than the Verandahs.  When you call, ask where the new cabin is - and be prepared to ask for a location that you would like (llok at deck plan before you call).

 

I think the upsell office is closed on weekends?

Not correct.  You have to have originally BOOKED the Suite category to get it.

Confirming there are no double days for an suite upsell unless a suite category was originally booked.

That's a good price.  If this is your first SS it may be a double edged sword.  Once you get a taste of that extra room, it's hard to go back to a regular balcony room.

OR you pay a "published fare" for the suite. That is, when you pay the full list price difference between the veranda and suite, as you would when you initiate an upgrade.
