Summit oceanview cabin 6th or 2nd floor?

I have booked room 2045 but noticed today that room 6008 is now available for 150$ more than I have paid.

Is the 6th floor a better location?

I am concerned with the noise from the motor on the 2nd deck.

Note that we will be 3 persons in the cabin.

Thank you!

Have you considered doing a Move Up bid for balcony instead since the Move Up only charges for two people in your party?

I am not at all familiar with that process.  I haven't cruised a lot! :-)

if I want to upgrade to a balcony I would pay the difference only for 2 persons even if we are 3 occupants?

Final payment is due Dec. 1... Maybe I should wait to see if the price drop and then upgrade?

Here is the link to the overview of the bid program on the celebrity website. I was able to bid about 45 days out from my Summit Cruise and got upgraded from ocean view deck 2 to a concierge on deck 10. If you scroll thru the posts on this forum you should see additional info from others.

2045 should not have any "motor' noises.  The anchor is far away enough if it has to be dropped.

6008 is a nice location though.  But what else would you do with the $300?..

How much time will you be spending in your cabin?

I didn't even think about the anchor so thank you for that info! :-)

I was more concerned about the noise it makes when the ship is "parking" into port... Kind of noise like the motors are in reverse.  Please bare with me for my difficulty to articulate my thoughts, English is not my first language! Lol!

You're right, we are not going to spend a lot of time in the cabin, especially since the cruise is port intensive (only one day at sea) but it's 150$ total, not per person.

Another member suggested upgrading to a balcony... That would be a nice surprise for my daughters!!  I will keep my fingers crossed the prices will drop.... :-)
