When the ship was in port in Bayonne for 2 days,  were the shops and casino open?  I thought the ship had to be at least 5 miles from shore in order to open the shops and casino.  Were live shows, movies and other activities available on board the ship during the days “stuck” in Bayonne?

the shops and casino opened only after we left and we’re finally underway to cococay.  I think all other activities took place as scheduled.

mum surprised no one is doing a ‘live post/review of their cruise experience...since there are so many questions...

Just one day.  6 sea days (or 3 pier days and 3 sea days) in total but the entertainment has been fabulous.

Yes, except that Wanted had to debark in Cape Liberty because there would have been nowhere for them to debark between CocoCay and Cape Liberty. They were supposed to be in 270 this evening, I believe. If you haven't seen them, they are a really good Bon Jovi cover band. Yes, I agree, entertainment has been great.

They must have had a land-based booking that interfered with staying on for the entire trip.  If I recall - DSB disembarked in Nassau (I think the 4th or 5th day of the 7-day PC, CC, Nassau itinerary) last year.  Seemed unusual to me, especially since their website had them booked on the sailings for the rest of the month.

Looking at the website for Wanted - I see no reason they needed to get off though.  I wonder if Anthem is that short of space for entertainers that they need to switch them out mid-cruise to have the variety they want to offer.

Common practice is sharing performers between ships. Comedian/band whatever boards Miami plays there scheduled show before arriving at a port. Leaves that ship boards another sailing leg back to Miami of the same company plays again on that ship. This way hire one comedian of specific group and provide entertainment on multiple ships.

The house band, piano bar guy etc, would stay aboard one ship.
