Just revived an emergency notice that boarding now starts at 2 till 4 and departure is now 5 pm Dec

Please do not arrive prior to the start of cruise check-in as your cabin will not be ready. All guests must be aboard no later than 4:30 PM.
2:00 PM - Aloha and Lido Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with A & L
2:30 PM - Dolphin and Emerald Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with D & E
3:00 PM - Caribe Deck - Cabins on this deck begin with C
3:30 PM - Marina and Riviera Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with M & R
4:00 PM - Baja, Sun, and Sky Decks - Cabins on these decks begin with B & S

i know in the past no one has followed the times given for boarding.....
we are usually there at 11 and pretty well go straight on.  No big deal if we don’t have our luggage or room isn’t ready

It could be this is the day they will have the ship's christening and thus the ceremony may delay the boarding for new passengers.

Of course the deck-by-deck times can be ignored, but boarding may not start at the usual time of before noon due to the ceremony.
