Taxi availability in Cockburn Town

My husband and I will be stopping in Grand Turk next month. I have read the cruise terminal is 3 miles from Cockburn Town. Getting a taxi at the terminal should be easy, but I want to know about taxi availability in Cockburn Town. Is it easy to get a taxi back to the cruise terminal? Also, about how much should a taxi cost us? Thanks!

Taxis from the cruise center to downtown are $5 pp.  Same for return.  There are usually taxis roaming around downtown dropping off people.  Since these are van taxis, they will pick up more than1 party if all are returning to the cruise center.  You can also ask your driver to pick you up or give you the local number so you can call a taxi if needed for return.

We found a taxi in town easily.  Do get the local phone number of a taxi company though.
