I don't recall where they are going. As long as I do not have to put up with them the end of January. 😄 They were not THAT bad, but not as good as the ones on previous Lady G cruises. suesnake2002 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #28 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Srf, these cabanas can only be purchased. There is no cooking at this site. I believe they keep the menu manageable for the attendant. Our attendant only had 2 cabanas that day. And both cabanas had only 2 people. Bar, chill grill, and bathrooms literally a 2 minute walk away. When you sign in they give you wristbands. Anyone without that will be escorted out. I saw all of the attendants at one point or another ask people to leave.
suesnake2002 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #29 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Another nice perk to point out is towels will be supplied in cabana. No need to check any out. And cooler has bottled water too.
dadraftsman Posted November 26, 2019 #30 Share Posted November 26, 2019 I have to ask....where does your husband get those suits?! In particular the $100 bill one and the one with the flamingos. My wife would never let me where that, which just makes me want to get one even more....maybe sneak one on as a surprise on our next cruise 😂

But also ate at other times at the buffet, due to sailing a suite.

I actually have to match him lol. I also bought a box of million dollar wrapped chocolate bars. That we gave out. The crew loved the chovolate. His bathing suit attire is all bud light. From trunks to tee, flip flops, visor, sunglasses, lanyard, and the beer in his hand.
RaleighDavid Posted December 4, 2019 #33 Share Posted December 4, 2019 My wife and I were on this same cruise, same dates. I actually recall seeing your husband at Schooner a few times - he's hard to miss 🙂 You did a great write up, I wanted to add my perspectives: We were also in a JS on Deck 8. The carts rolling up on the Pool Deck (Deck 9) are VERY loud on this ship. We've done a JS before and somehow forgot this. Despite the noise, we slept very well. The ship is definitely tired - it just looks dated/tired/worn. Things didn't seem to be up to the level of what we have experienced on other RCL ships. Baltimore is AWESOME! We also arrived at 10am and were at the R Bar at 10:15 having cocktails. Main Dining Room food was below average for RCL and much smaller portions. The quality was very hit or miss. Bar staff seemed over-worked (or under-staffed) and slow often. R-Bar in the evenings was our spot because of the music/dancing and those bartenders took care of us because they got to know us - but other spots were slow. The smoke from the casino was AWFUL, especially the last night. I don't know if the scrubbers weren't working or what, but it was bad. The cafe in the Solarium had *great* breakfast sandwiches which was nice in the AM The staff handled the weather and the itinerary change well and the captain kept us well informed All in all we had a great time on our cruise, was nice to disconnect from work and relax, but not sure we'd do another Granduer because of the smoke (we are both sensitive to it). BillHoo Posted December 4, 2019 #34 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Did they have any kind of concert or theater entertainment lined up on Grandeur?

suesnake2002 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #36 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Raliehdavid. I have to agree with the smoke from the casino. It was really bad. I think it had to do with weather, everyone was smoking in there.
suesnake2002 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #37 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Billhoo they had nitely shows and late night comedy. Missed most comedy shows. And after seeing 2 headliners, one being a juggler telling jokes. We did not go back for more
suesnake2002 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #38 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I'd like to also mention that cough I left the ship with wound up being pnuemonia. First time for that. On that other f b page alot of discussion of people being sick. I know alot of complaints were made to the head office about not getting our port charges back for nassau. And no one has gotten any satisfaction with that.

It appears to me that unfortunately you were on one of those cruises that had an outbreak. Dan
suesnake2002 Posted December 5, 2019 Author #40 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Thank you fun reasearcher. Being in tight quarters, I know illness will happen. Especially at the height of flu, virus season. I always get the flu shot, and do alot of washy washy. Hubby never gets the shot and never gets sick. Go figure. SRF Posted December 5, 2019 #41 Share Posted December 5, 2019 Flu and pneumonia are two different diseases. Getting a flu shot does not prevent pneumonia. There are pneumonia vaccines available. The common one is Prevnar 13. It provides immunity to 13 common strains of pneumonia. I also understand there is a 23 strain version, that covers different strains. My pharmacist recommended getting both, but to spread them at least a year apart.
