Singapore Luggage Storage

When we disembark Celebrity Millennium in Singapore in February we don’t fly out until 23.15 that evening. So leaving the ship at 9.00, say, we’re going to have quite a few hours to kill. One thing we’ll need to do is to store our luggage somewhere. I’m looking at possibly going to the airport first to store luggage there, then coming back into the city to do the HOHO and have dinner somewhere, before returning to airport late evening. Or, I have seen a bagbnb scheme where listed outlets within the city will take luggage in for the day. 
 

How much is a taxi from the port to the airport? That would be a consideration.

Have been researching this myself, each terminal has storage options yet there are also some paid valet Options.  I’m still researching if they’re automatically checked at the airport or where you’ll retrieve them.  According to TripAdvisor it’s $23-25 in a taxi and there’s a 10% surcharge for credit cards.

If you do head out to the airport, instead of left luggage why not check in your luggage, this can be done upto 24 hours before your flight. Check here to see if your flight is included.

I did use Porter Express - they did pick me up with my luggage at the cruise terminal and dropped me off in Singapore down-town. I did spend the day in Singapore and were picked up in the evening for the airport. Very efficient.

I knew about early check in but also thought BA didn’t subscribe. I now see that BA will operate early check-in from 12 hours before. So 11.15am might work out good for us.

I’ll be on United who’s not eligible for early check in.  There is also cruise fly, lots like $28 USD for up to two Pieces of luggage, but they also don’t participate with united

Posting this not for the OP but for anyone else searching for the info.  If your airline doesn't participate in the early checkin or cruise-fly, you can store luggage at the airport but it appears to be $18/bag.  Here is a cheaper option at $6/bag http://www.the-inncrowd.com/storage.htm

We just returned from Singapore. Unfortunately UA does not participate in early luggage checkin. We flew on Cathay Pacific and checked our baggage 18 hours early. we also looked into storage. Be sure that  you check luggage in the correct terminal as they are very far apart & not easy to navigate. We stayed overnight at  Crown Plaza which is connected to terminal 3. Since we had a 6:40 am flight & we were departing from terminal 4, our choice was to take the free shuttle to terminal 2 & then transfer to 4 or take a $14 cab from 3 to 4. we choose the latter since we were concerned about delays.

Another option to consider is a low cost hotel room for the day. Drop the bags go out and see Singapore come back after dinner. Then you can take a shower and head to the airport. Budget hotels can be found in Singapore for about USD$60 per night.

As I recall after looking into it, the budget hotels attached to the airport have a 6 hour rate and charge additionally by the hour after that.
