Yacht Club LUNCH Menus

Here are the lunch menus from Meraviglia.  Nos # 4 & 10 weren't available when we were onboard.

Bear in mind that the menus don't necessarily appear in this order each day;  they're numbered for logistical purposes when the head chef sets the dining schedule, so, for example, you may have menu no #2 today and #11 tomorrow.

Thanks to some great detective work by @Beamafar we have been able to compile an almost complete set of the lunch menus on Meraviglia as of Oct/Nov 2019 [numbered 1-14] – note that this is missing nos. 4 and 10.

We thought that this post would be a complete set, based on the MD's statement that these are the official menus.  But I have also collected some additional YC Lunch menus [labeled x1, x2 etc.] that (a) may fill in the missing nos. 4 and 10, but (b) also seem to include variations on the other menus (at least on other MSC ships).

I suspect that there is, as always [!], a degree of variability in MSC's operations – but these menus should at least give a good sampling of what you will find on your cruise.  And – speaking only for myself [and DW] – the food delivered in the YC restaurant lives up to the promises of these menus.  Mangia!

@Beamafar and I have now done our part.  If you would like to contribute, please feel free to post additional menus (or variations) and 'food porn' pictures.  Just please remember that this thread is for Yacht Club LUNCH menus only.  See the separate threads for Yacht Club BREAKFAST and DINNER menus.

Recent lunch menus from Grandiosa on Mediterranean, its a week cruise.

Thanks for posting these.  I looked at Day One's menu.  What to select?  I will look at the others as I have time.

After looking at those menus my wife and I will not be sailing msc.  my wife will not eat anything on those menus.

A shame!  In YC, they will take any item and make it the way you want.  Are you saying your wife does not eat meat, seafood, or vegetables?

"Simple" country cooking is called "comfort food" by many of us.  It reminds me of "home"; of a Grandmother and Mother who were excellent bakers and cooks.  Of my Grandmother's homemade Noodles and Dumplings and Coffee Cakes.  Green Beans and Ham and Potatoes was a staple when I was growing up.  Pork and Sauerkraut remain a staple for me, particularly, as a New Year's Day dinner.

I was encouraged by my Mother to "try" something different as I was growing up.  I came to learn and appreciate different cuisines, different preparations, different foods.  Surely don't like them all, however!

Sir, I agree with your thinking.  Your DW would not enjoy the cuisine that is offered in a Yacht Club Restaurant.  I hope both of you will find a cruise line that does offer cuisine/menus that both of you like.

Don't forget these are the Yacht Club menus---you could sail in a non-YC cabin and have access to other dining venues.  I assume if you're in YC you could eat elsewhere if you like (haven't yet sailed on MSC so I could be wrong about that), but the private restaurant is part of the YC draw.

Yes, I think that would be possible.  All of the specialty restaurants would be available.  Speaking to the YC Concierge, I would expect that he/she would be able to secure dining reservations in the ship's main dining rooms.

This all looks so good. My problem will be that I can't choose and want to try it all. I will be cruising on the Bellissima in September. Is it acceptable to ask for smaller portions, so I can try out more different dishes? Or when I like it to ask for a certain dish again? And again? 😊

Ask for as much as you want. Anything not finished will get ground up and given to the fish in the ocean.

Asparagus Panna Cotta as a Starter:  never saw that on a menu.  Floating Island's description  in the dessert section is something different.  These Lunch menus offer preparations that I have not seen on a dinner menu (most certainly on a lunch menu) on other ships that I have sailed.  Kudos to MSC!

Two Wheels Only, thank you very much for posting these!

The lunch menu looks better than a lot of dinner menus.  So excited
