tamara01 Posted November 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2019 I tried to do a search but didn't find much about the reburb on the Constellation. Anyone know exactly what changes will take place? Any new restaurants, or changes to the current ones? I haven't been on the Constellation in several years and am considering a cruise in 2020, but after being on the bigger ships I wonder if we will miss some of the bars, restaurants, etc.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2019 I doubt there will be any new restaurants added. Constellation went through a Mini refurb 2017. At that time they upgraded the door locks and SeaPass to RF. They also at that time took out the "Olympic Style" restaurant and replaced it with Tuscan and added 7 ocean staterooms where the previous entrance off the lobby once was. During the mini-refurb they also installed the Retreat Sun Deck on deck 14 Forward. The also moved the Internet Cafe to the front foyer and replaced it's space with interior rooms. I have no knowledge of what they will do but much of the Revolution was done on the Mini Refurb. I would suspect they will upgrade the Retreat Lounge, Ocean View Grill, Casino, Move the
jelayne Posted November 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2019 The restaurants will be Sushi on 5, Tuscan and LPC at Qsine. Like the update of the Summit & Millenium the cabins will be totally redone ( showers will have doors not curtains 👏) with colors and finishes similar to the Edge. The Oceanview will be updated, the MDR will have new furnishings as will most venues.

Rare Miaminice Posted November 28, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) I am really surprised that you are wondering about the changes.... There are many many topics and loads of photos of the „revolutionizing“ of Millennium and Summit. Lounges, MDR, staterooms... all there already. Constellation will be the same. However, many people who sailed on revolutionized M class feel the changes work well. Oceanview was improved, the decor modernized etc. Of course, as always some people simply despise change.

Rare Germancruiser Posted November 29, 2019 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2019 (edited) Of course thats is my opinion. I loved the Millie Class ships - sailed Millenium in her inaugural year. I also liked the four ships when they were Solsticeized- that was a big improvment! Even though I never could make up my mind if i liked the Internet Cafe or the Martini Bar that replaced the afore mentioned, better in this place with the great view! The changes I did not like was the constant addition of new cabins and the transformation of their unique Specialty Restaurants into Tuscan Grill. A appreciate their need to install those ship themed restaurant parts in their new ships! By the way Mimainice - Sunny isles is also my favorite part of Miami Beach- my own history with Sunny Isle going back to the year 1987- when it was still famous for it´s motel row! Wonderful travel reviews and travel reports! Greetings! Edited November 29, 2019 by Germancruiser

That is true for Constellation. Tuscan has been there before and Ocean Liners unfortunately was replaced by Qsine. The other M class ships‘ nostalgic ship themed restaurants were replaced by Tuscan. We much preferred the former, Murano style restaurants. However, just because they are gone I wouldn’t call M class ruined as Germancruiser did. Our Connie cruise will be our first in a suite so having Luminae will be a new treat! And finally back into Michaels , which used to be an Elite lounge! All good! Looking forward to cruising from Tampa So excited to see The Connie is moving to Tampa. As soon as I found out I booked a cruise on her for April 2021. Sailed The Connie in 2012 and the deck 11 Aqua cabins were not there. I do believe they were there when I sailed in 2015 and I know they were there when I sailed B2B in 2016. Have no interest in eating at Ocean Liner replacement. What a waste of great space, especially the wine room where I enjoyed a special dinner on 2 cruises. So, so happy to have Michael's back as it was one of my favorite areas of the Celebrity ships. Of course Martini Bar is a winner too for me.
