Hotels in Miami or Fort Lauderdale on Xmas

I will be flying in to FLL on Xmas day and sailing out of Miami Xmas 2020.  I am wondering if I could get a suggestion as to a hotel that will have restaurants nearby that will be open on Xmas.  I thought someone might have this situation for this year and thought I would check.  We may be flying in late and sailing in the am.  I would prefer not to spend too much on the hotel.  Also, do you think it will be difficult to get Uber/Lyft on Xmas?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Miami has a lot of visitors, so things stay open. I would book your flights first and then look at hotels unless you can fund refundable rates.

Most people will suggest, correctly, to stay in Downtown Miami or Brickell area for a cruise out of Port Miami. But if you are landing late in the evening then an airport hotel makes sense.

Downtown Miami and Brickell will have plenty open on the 25th. Especially Bayside.

Wouldn't we all:classic_tongue:  But it's South Florida in the winter, no such thing as a cheap hotel.  At least not one you'd want to sleep in.

Uber/lyft is a good question.  I would assume they're running fine, but suppose there is a chance there will be less drivers out and about.

Everything here will be stupid expensive Christmas Eve.

Book a hotel on hotwire.  Look at the downtown area.

Be careful with your areas, you book a hotel in somewhere like Doral, Hialeah, Kendall, etc you could end up negating any savings with an expensive Uber.

Look at downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Beach for areas.
